BudgetIQ · Financial control program

Know if you made money yesterday, not at month-end.

BudgetIQ sets what your costs should be for your contract, then tracks your profit on every dispatch, every day. Overruns show up while you can still fix them.

The problem

You’re running a financial business on service numbers.

How you did on service

Every day

How you did on money

Weeks later

When the damage is already done

Meanwhile, your costs move every day.

Payroll
Fuel
Vehicle maintenance
Overhead

So the month closes, and you find out.

01

The cash is gone

By the time you see the problem, the money has already left.

02

The decisions are old

Whatever caused it happened three weeks ago.

03

Bookkeeping can’t see it

A bookkeeper knows what you spent, not whether it’s right for a FedEx contract.

04

Your security is on the line

Your personal finances back the whole operation.

You shouldn’t have to risk your own security running a route business blind.

◎

Engineered

Expense targets built for your contract, not industry averages.

↑

Daily

Profit per dispatch every day, right next to your service results.

✓

Contract-aware

Categories that match how you get paid, not generic bookkeeping.

How it starts

Three steps from guesswork to financial control.

1

Baseline your standard budget

We run a Business Opportunity Analysis (Standard Budget & Expense Plan) and build an expense baseline matched to your contract. You bring the numbers. We build the target.

2

Monitor daily dispatch yield

The system tracks spending against that baseline every day, automatically calculating magins down to the dispatch level.

3

Execute margin corrections

When costs run over, you can implements the fix while the cash is still in the business. This is a competitive advantage.

What’s at stake

What unseen cost leaks cost you.

Cash flow bled dry

Cost leaks nobody can see quietly taking the month’s cash before anyone knows to stop them.

Personal exposure

Household finances strained and future security put on the line to cover shortfalls you didn’t see coming.

Deferred maintenance

No reserve to fund fleet upkeep, so trucks go down and downtime costs more than the repair would have.

A cheaper exit

Messy financials and understated net income handing a buyer every reason to discount what you built.

What changes

Run a financially healthy business on purpose.

Nothing about the work gets easier. What changes is that the money stops being a surprise.

Where you are right now

The same program. Three different Ways It Changes Your Game.

What BudgetIQ is worth to you depends on where your business is right now.

Starting out

Your settlement shows revenue. It doesn’t show your costs.

A settlement statement shows what you earned and how you earned it. It won’t tell you what your routes should cost to run, and FedEx doesn’t set those standards for you. Most new contractors learn them the expensive way.

  • ✓
Financial standards for what it should cost to run your routes
  • ✓
A budget built around your contract from day one
  • ✓
Cost categories built for contract logistics, not general small business
  • ✓
Structure and guidance you’d otherwise learn through costly mistakes

Up and running

Know where your cash is headed before you get there.

Revenue and expense tracking is vital, but most established owners stopped keeping up with it or never have the time. BudgetIQ does that busy work and gives your operation a financial plan to steer by.

  • ✓
A financial plan for where your operation should be going
  • ✓
Revenue and expense tracking done for you
  • ✓
Predictive cash flow that shows where you’re headed, so you can correct course now
  • ✓
The numbers you need to request or conduct a renegotiation with FedEx
For established operations →

Scaling for growth

You can’t allocate capital you can’t see.

Multiple terminals mean multiple sets of spending habits. Without a common baseline, one location’s performance hides another’s, and every acquisition gets priced on hope.

  • ✓
Expense tracking from every facility consolidated into one unified dashboard
  • ✓
Standardized categories and spending limits that eliminate location-level variance
  • ✓
Newly acquired territories evaluated against standard budget models and integrated fast
  • ✓
Real-time yield across facilities, so fleet capital goes where the return actually is

Questions we get

The things people ask before they start.

I already have an accountant. Why would I need this?

Keep them. An accountant records what happened and files your return. BudgetIQ tells you today whether today made money, against a baseline engineered for your contract. Different job, different timing.

What is an engineered expense baseline?

A target cost for each category, built from your contract structure and route profile rather than an industry average. We build them below standard budget assumptions on purpose, so hitting the number means you’re genuinely ahead, not merely typical.

What is dispatch yield, and why daily?

It’s what a day of dispatch actually returned after what it cost to run. Daily matters because a monthly number can’t be fixed. A daily number can: you see the category running hot, you make the correction, and the month closes where you meant it to.

How much work is this on my end?

The Business Opportunity Analysis and the baseline build are ours. You provide the numbers and the context. After that, the tracking runs off data you already generate, and your part is reading a daily number and executing the corrections your BC points at.

Does it help if I’m planning to sell?

That’s one of the strongest cases for it. Buyers price on net operating income and on how much they trust your books. Optimizing the first and cleaning up the second is exactly what BudgetIQ does, and the earlier you start, the more history you have to show.

How does this relate to the rest of the BGSS?

BudgetIQ covers the money. PerformanceIQ covers operations and margin execution. AdminIQ covers payroll, HR, recruiting, and compliance. SafetyIQ covers safety: driver training, VEDR review and coaching, and a Safety Desk that runs it. All of them run on the same B.O.S.S. software system as part of the Business Growth and Support System. Most contractors start with whichever one is costing them the most right now.

Your numbers already exist. You just haven’t seen them in time.

Bring your statements. We’ll build the baseline and show you what your real cost per dispatch is against it.
